Price watch
Brunel recomputes your designs when providers publish new prices and sends a monthly report with the changes and possible savings.
Price watch is available on Business and above.
What it does
On the first day of every month, and on demand from the project, Brunel re-prices the current version of your tracked projects with today's catalogs:
- the recommended tier's monthly total then and now, with both catalog dates;
- the components whose price moved the most;
- the same design priced on the other provider, and how much it would save when it is cheaper.
The report is posted in the project and sent as a price.report event to Slack or your webhook.
Why prices move
Providers change their prices, introduce new instance generations and change exchange rates. Catalogs are versioned by month, so every report states which catalog dates it compares.
